The Baseball Badge™ Progression
In a game where rings, the scoreboard, and stats outweigh development, it is easy for parents and players to feel anxious and frustrated when real progress goes unnoticed. Baseball Badge tips the scale by providing a clear, consistent way to measure and celebrate incremental improvement. It replaces the chaos and guesswork of youth baseball instruction with a structured, motivating pathway designed to develop great players and even better people.
Is my player actually getting better?

A Clear Path Forward For Every Baseball Player
A baseball development progression inspired by mastery
Similar to martial arts, the Baseball Badge progression uses a series of colored badges to signify rank and advancement. Each badge represents a new level of competency and is tied to a specific age and skill range, giving players a tangible symbol of their hard work and clear goals for what to learn next.

Five Interconnected Areas of Development
Developing the Complete Baseball Player
The Baseball Badge progression system supports what players do on the field, along with how they think, move, and carry themselves that can benefit them off the field. The four marks represent the mental, physical, technical, and tactical pillars. Those are all built on a foundation of character, represented by the plate.

Baseball Badge seeks to build mental toughness and coping skills that support mental health and performance. Kids learn to normalize failure and techniques to reset and stay present. The badge progression builds mental stamina, emotional control, and commitment to the process over outcomes. Advanced levels emphasize composure under pressure, sell-reflection, and leadership through adversity.

Right Here, Right Now
Train the mind to win every pitch
Baseball Badge helps establish the physical fitness attributes needed to play well and withstand the demands of playing baseball. The progression emphasizes training and preparation to enhance balance, coordination, mobility, speed, agility, strength, power, and durability.

Athleticism for Baseball
Stay healthy, move better, and play with power
Technical development begins by establishing core fundamentals and progresses toward developing the five tools: hitting for contact, hitting for power, running, fielding, and throwing. Advanced badge colors refine the fundamentals, and provide pathways for deeper specialization while maintaining skills that transfer across the game.

Toward Mastery of Baseball Fundamentals
Develop the 5 tools that define complete players
Tactical development involves enhancing baseball IQ: a deep understanding of the game to allow players to anticipate, make smart decisions under pressure, and execute the proper skills with the right strategies. This process starts with the White Baseball Badge by learning basic baseball language and game dynamics. As badges progress, players learn more advanced concepts that allow them to fully express their physical and technical abilities at the right time.

Deepening Baseball Knowledge
Adding a 6th Tool, Baseball IQ
Character is developed at every level of the Baseball Badge progression through effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Players learn positive body language, how to give credit, pick up teammates, and handle success and failure the right way. Baseball Badge builds leaders who do the little things well, take ownership, and represent the game well.

Great Players and Better People

Earning a Badge, Step-by-Step
Motivating progress with incremental achievement
Long-term goals can be daunting for young players. The Baseball Badge progression system breaks the journey into manageable steps. Each Baseball Badge color rank includes a set of age- and skill-appropriate goals across the five pillars. Coaches award a "mark" for partial completion of the goals outlined for a specific badge until they have earned four "marks." After achieving 100% of the goals for a rank, they advance to the next colored badge. This process provides consistent, positive reinforcement and makes progress feel constant.
